Where We Get Your Data
We collect Personal Data directly from you (when you create an account, use the Services, or contact us), automatically through your use of the Services (including through cookies), from the accounts, apps, devices and services you connect, and from the people you communicate with through the Services.
How We Use Your Data
We use your Personal Data to:
- Provide, customize, and improve the Services, including creating and managing your account, providing support, and personalizing content and communications
- Carry out the tasks you ask Billy to perform, including communicating and completing transactions on your behalf
- Respond to your inquiries and send you communications according to your preferences
- Prevent fraud and protect the security of our systems and Services
- Fulfill legal obligations, protect the rights and safety of you and others, enforce our agreements, and resolve disputes
We will not use your Personal Data for materially different or unrelated purposes without providing you notice.
How We Share Your Personal Data
We do not sell your Personal Data or share it for targeted advertising. We share your Personal Data with the following categories of recipients:
- Service providers that help us operate the Services, including hosting, communications, voice, payment processing, security, and customer service vendors
- AI model providers, including the provider you select and any provider we use by default or as a backup, to respond to you and carry out tasks
- People and businesses you direct Billy to contact, and the accounts and services you connect
- Government authorities or law enforcement in response to valid legal process
- Acquirers or successors in connection with a merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or similar transaction. For Google API data, this is limited to a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, and only with your explicit prior consent.
We may also de-identify or aggregate Personal Data so it no longer identifies you, and use it to operate, analyze and improve Billy, but not to train or fine-tune AI models.
Cookies and Tracking
We use only the cookies and similar technologies needed to operate the Services, such as keeping you signed in and protecting your account against security threats. If we begin using cookies for analytics or other purposes, we will update this Privacy Policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
You can opt out of marketing emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email or by contacting us at support@billylives.com. We may still send you messages about your account and the Services.
AI and Your Data
Billy is an AI assistant. To respond to you and carry out tasks, we send your Personal Data, including information from the accounts, apps and devices you connect, to third-party AI model providers, including the provider you select and any provider we use by default or as a backup.
We do not use your Personal Data, including your conversations, memories, documents, audio or connected-account data, to train or fine-tune AI models. We may use anonymized data that no longer identifies you to operate, analyze and improve Billy.
Google API Data
We will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements, when using or transferring information received from Google APIs. These requirements also cover information aggregated, anonymized or derived from Google API data and limit any broader use, sharing or human access described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy.
If you connect your Google account, Billy accesses only the Google data you authorize, such as your Gmail messages, Google Calendar events, Google Contacts, Google Tasks, Google Drive files and YouTube activity. We use it only to provide and improve the features you use in Billy, such as reading and drafting email, managing your calendar, and reminding you of commitments and plans. We share it only with the AI model providers and service providers that help deliver those features, and we keep and delete it as described in Data Retention and Deletion. Our staff do not read your Google data unless you ask us to (for example, for support), it is necessary for security, or the law requires it.
Voice Recognition
If you turn on voice recognition, Billy creates a voiceprint from your voice so it can recognize you when you speak. We ask for your separate consent before we create it; accepting our Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy is not that consent. We use your voiceprint only to recognize your voice. We do not sell it, and we disclose it only to service providers that process it on our behalf or where the law requires. Billy does not create voiceprints of other people who speak on your calls or in your meetings. We delete your voiceprint as described in Data Retention and Deletion.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, provide our Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
